I am a student at Berea College with many friends in the community and a love for Kentucky’s land. I want to see a government that supports the least of us first, that values the education of all people regardless of their class and that works to maintain and improve our natural resources and our state’s beauty and richness.  But in your work, you support measures that gut heat subsidies for low-income families, eliminate 10,600 Kentucky women and children from the WIC program, bar funds to implement the new health care reform law, cut $3.6 million from Pell Grants and limit eligibility for students  and you have supported bills such as HR 2584 which restricts the ability of the U.S. EPA to enforce laws that protect our land.  It seems to me that you do not represent me or many other Kentuckians in our desire for a more just and sustainable commonwealth.  Kentucky deserves better!  If you cannot be the change, please do not get in our way to make it for ourselves.  Best Regards, Saxon Lee Brown
